David_Edren, a synthesizer player from Antwerp, Belgium, who has released ambient and drone electronic music on labels such as Jj_Funhouse, Aguire, and Not_Not_Fun, has Codariocalyx", a 2015 album by David_Edren, has been redesigned and re-released by graphic designer Yudai_Osawa.

In the making of this album, he was influenced by Mort_Garson, known for his plant music, and the film "The_Secret_Life_Of_Plants" and Jack Mitsch's documentary "Mind_Of_Plants," among others, and he sprouted Kodalyocalyx and Mimosa pudica (tussock) seeds and documented their growth . This work, based on these observations and experiences, is a fresh ambient that gives a bird's-eye view of a small, lovely, boxy world and the activities of these plants with their mysterious moving properties.

To celebrate this reissue, the special edition includes one newly recorded bonus track and a 27-page booklet with a long interview. Limited to 150 copies, with DL code.

”DSR_Line”や”Spirit_&_Form”名義の活動でも知られこれまでJj_Funhouse、Aguire、Not_Not_Funなどのレーベルからアンビエント〜ドローンといった電子音楽をリリースしてきたベルギーアントワープのシンセサイザー奏者である”David_Edren”の2015年作『Music_For_Mimosa_Pudica_&_Codariocalyx』がグラフィックデザイナーYudai_Osawaによってデザインを一新して再発。本作は彼のパートナーであり陶芸作家のSigrid_Voldersとその友人Narelle_Doreの植物に関するプロジェクトのために制作されました。制作にあたり、植物の音楽で知られるMort_Garsonや映画『The_Secret_Life_Of_Plants』とジャック・ミッチュのドキュメンタリー『Mind_Of_Plants』などのからの影響を受けた彼は、コダリオカリックスとミモザ・プディカ(オジギソウ)の種を手に入れ発芽からの成長を記録。この観察や経験をもとに制作された本作は、箱庭的で小さく可愛らしい世界を俯瞰するような視点とこの不思議な動く性質を持った植物達の活動を感じさせる瑞々しいアンビエントに仕上がっています。本再発を記念して、新録のボーナストラック1曲とロングインタビュー掲載の27Pのブックレットを追加した特装版となっています。限定150本。DLコード付属。
